Benji Madden and Cameron Diaz have been married for over nine years, and after welcoming their daughter four years ago, they’ve recently introduced their second child into the world while keeping their family life largely private.
The 51-year-old actress and her 45-year-old musician husband announced the birth of their son, Cardinal, on Friday via Instagram, with a piece of artwork captioned with the words, “A little bird whispered to me,” signifying the arrival of their newest family member. Madden expressed their joy, saying, “We are blessed and excited to announce the birth of our Son, Cardinal Madden. He is awesome and we are all so happy he is here!” They refrained from sharing photos of their children on social media, emphasizing their gratitude and love while wishing everyone well.
This commitment to privacy isn’t new. They wed in 2015 and welcomed their daughter, Raddix, in 2019, choosing to keep her arrival low-key until after her birth. Diaz expressed their happiness and thanked everyone for their support in the birth announcement for Raddix, also sharing that Raddix was born through surrogacy, a journey filled with challenges that ultimately led to their joyous moment. Despite differing opinions, Madden and Diaz prioritize their family’s happiness and well-being, valuing their privacy above all else.
