Prayers are sent for “Duck Dynasty” star Uncle Si Robertson
Si Robertson has openly admitted that smoking played a role in his poor lung health, along with his diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which made his 2021 COVID-19 diagnosis particularly concerning.
During his battle with COVID-19, Si initially resisted seeking medical help and was reluctant to take prescribed medications. Eventually, he relented and began to feel better, but the experience highlighted the severity of his lung issues.
In episode 146 of the Duck Call Room podcast, Si revealed that while one of his lungs functions normally during inhalation, it struggles to exhale properly. As a result, he is scheduled for surgery to implant a device that will assist the underperforming lung in exhaling enough air.
While Si is approved for the surgery, there are still some preparations to be made. Nonetheless, he remains eager to share more stories post-surgery, promising them to be at least “ninety-five percent correct.”
